[Updated] My Top 5: Favourite TV Shows

Two years ago I made a list of my top 5 favourite TV shows, American edition, and now it's time to do an update of it because my taste and interests have changed slightly since 2013(Click here to see the original list). I watch a stupid amount of TV shows, 31 to be exact and I know its ridiculous but I enjoy it. The last time I did this i was exclusively watching TV shows that were made/based in the states but that's all changed, I have became a great fan of British shows. Picking only 5 TV shows was pretty hard since I watch many but I'm thinking of doing a blogpost on all the shows I watch. Here are my top 5 favourite TV shows, which i recommend, in no particular order:

1. Sherlock
A modern update finds the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.

2. Empire

A father, who runs a successful music business, is diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease and has to choose one of his three sons to take over when he dies.

3. My mad fat diary
Set in 1996 in Lincolnshire, the show tells the tragic and humorous story of a very troubled young girl Rae, who has just left a psychiatric hospital, where she has spent four months after attempting suicide, and begins to reconnect with her best friend Chloe and her group, who are unaware of Rae's mental health and body image problems, believing she was in France for the past four months.
4. Orange is the new black
The story of Piper Chapman, a woman in her thirties who is sentenced to fifteen months in prison after being convicted of a decade-old crime of transporting money to her drug-dealing girlfriend.

5. How to get away with murder
A group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives.
These are some of my favourite shows to watch at the moment, if you start watching any of these please me let know - so we can fangirl together!

WARNING: these shows may cause addiction and may aid in procrastination.

Thank you for reading,

Here Comes Winter | 3 Outfits to Wear this Winter!

As I enjoyed creating outfits to wear in Autumn so much, i thought I'd do the same for winter! The holidays are about to begin and Christmas is around the corner, there is so much to do in so little time. Choosing an outfit might not be at the top of you  to-do-list or you simply don't know what to wear this winter - so I've decided to lend you a helping hand. I've tried my hardest to not make all the outfits monochrome and i have add some colour to them to make them appropriate for the upcoming holidays. All the outfit information will be linked below the image, so if you like anything you see, click on the link to see where you can buy the item from.

Outfit No.1
This may be my favourite outfit out of the 3; this outfit is combination of chic and casual. Normally my main concern in winter is to keep warm and avoid getting sick; I'm not promising that this outfit will prevent you from getting the common cold but it will keep you snug and warm. This can be worn as an everyday kind of outfit and it will look like you've spent ages planning it.

Outfit No.2
An outfit like this is great for Christmas dinners, parties, outings and even Christmas day itself (although i prefer staying in my PJ's for that). If you want to go for a classy look but still make it look Christmassy, then I'd go for this look. The dress, heels and bag gives it that sophisticated/mature angle, whilst the coat and nail varnish give it a much needed pop of colour. The choker provides a fun and edgy vibe to it and ties everything together.

Outfit No.3

Who says you can't wear shorts in winter? If you're the adventures and daring type and you're looking for something fun to wear this winter, why not try this? The colour scheme of the outfit screams CHRISTMAS and it ridiculously cute!  This outfit would be great for movie nights, nights in or even shopping trips.

'Get to know me' Tag | 21 Questions

Yesterday was my 1 year blog anniversary! I can't believe it's been one year since I've started this blog, time goes so fast. Its funny how the older you get the more you realise how precious time is. Any way I want to do something a little different since it's my 1 year anniversary...or was my 1 year anniversary. I have came to a realisation that i haven't really shared anything personal about myself and I want you guys to know a little bit more about me. I saw a couple of blogs do the 'get to know me' tag and i thought it was a lovely idea. So here it is:

1. Are you named after anyone? I don't think so, no.
2. When was the last time you cried? Probably when i watched The Fault In Our Stars.
3. Do you have kids? Literally? no but in my culture when your sister(s) has kids, you're considered as their 'younger mum' if that makes sense? so in theory i have 4 and one on the way!
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? I think so, yes.
5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I do, but only to the people that get my sarcasm, although my brother doesn't really get sarcasm at all but i like to use it on him anyway - it's a sibling thing.
6. Will you ever bungee-jump? Yes, i like to anything that scare me, for some weird reason, i think i like the  rush i get from doing it.
7. What’s your favourite cereal? Lucky charms but the last time i had the was when i was in America which was a year ago.
8. What’s the first thing you notice about people? Eyes and smile - I love when people smile; smiling makes people 100% more beautiful in my opinion,
9. What is your eye colour? Brown.
10. Scary movie or happy endings? Happy ending, i like that fuzzy/warm feeling you get after a happy ending in films.
11. Favourite smells? You know that smell you get after it rains? I love that. I like smell of bacon and water - yes water has a smell.
12. Summer or winter? Summer all the way. I hate winter, its so cold and dark all the bloody time.
13. Computer or television? Computer; you can do pretty much anything on a computer including watching TV shows, so its a win on both sides.
14. What’s the furthest you've ever been from home? America.
15. Do you have any special talents? I can watch multiple TV shows at the same time? I'm not sure if that's considered a talent though.
16. Where were you born? Kigali, Rwanda.
17. What are your hobbies? Reading, driving, watching TV shows/movies, cooking and going to concert.
18. Do you have any pets? Nope but I've always wanted a dog.
19. Favourite movie? Either The fault in our stars or The notebook.
20. Do you have any siblings?  7 siblings. Big family.
21. What do you want to be when you grow up? Happy. I don't mind what i do, as long as I'm happy.
I'd love to know more about you guys, so comment at least one fact about you below.

How To Pass Your 1st Year Of College

College is a totally different ball game to high school; the students are somewhat more mature and the academic work is harder than what you're used to. I'm assuming that you're anxious and a little worried about starting; you should be, its a new thing you have never experienced before - its only natural! I was extremely nervous when i started college last year, my anxiety levels were off the roofs but i realised later on there was no need because everyone who was starting college that day was probably feeling the same way. I can write a blogpost on how to settle down at school/college, make friends and how to deal with anxiety in those types of situations, if it's requested. I finished the first year with pretty good grades and a good group of friends, so i want to share my tips and tricks with you.

1. Are you on the right course?

Choosing the right course is very important because you don't want to suddenly realise in the middle of the year that you are on the wrong course and you hate the subject, so sit down for 5 minutes and really thinking about it. If you actually realise that you're not on the right course then no worries, talk to your tutor and discuss your options. Also this links in with last point, do you enjoy it? are you passionate about it? if not, then you're probably studying the wrong subject.

2. Make a friend

Making a friend(s) will make college fun; the hours will pass quicker when you have someone to natter to and complain to. Also having a friend will mean having a study buddy, additionally if you get stuck on work or miss a day they can always fill you in and help you.

3. Organise your time effectively

I know everyone says this but its very important because with college the rules are tougher and if you don't meet the deadline then you don't get the grade. So prioritise your work and set enough time to complete it  all. I use evernote to write down all the assignments i have to do in order of the date i have to submit them - try using a planner. If you're given the chance to do work in class then do because you don't want to spend 5 hours doing an assignment the night before when you could be on netflix watching an entire session of breaking bad.

4. Ask for help

Many students suffer in silence because they are too scared to ask for help . If you're stuck on a piece of work please ask for help, that's what teachers are for. Teachers won't ignore you or get angry; there's many ways to ask for help: staying after class, emailing them and going to their office in breaks - you don't have to raise your hand and ask in the middle of a lesson. If you're being bullied or having trouble at home, please tell your teachers.

5. Enjoy it

In the UK college is only for 2 years and 2 years compared to the rest of your life is nothing at all, it goes so quickly; so enjoy being young and having little responsibility. It may seem like now hard time in your life with all the exams and drama but you'll look back at this time and wish you could relive the moments. So take part in everything you can, be kind, study hard and enjoy life.

I hope you found this useful and if you have any questions or tips and experiences that you want to share please comment below!

My Top 5: Celebrity Crushes

My celebrity crushes are ever changing and I’ve lost count of how many people I actually like; it’s quite worrying. If I start watching a new show, I can guarantee you that I will fall in love with one of the actors, it's ridiculous I know but I can’t help it.

The funny thing about this whole 'phase' - I hope to god its a phase because I can't continue doing this; its so tiring - is that sometimes my crushes aren’t your typical hot young male crushes; I developed a crush on DR. Cal Lightman whilst I was watching Lie to me. He's old enough to be my dad, for goodness sake but did that stop me? No!

When I’ve obtained a crush on the celebrity I will go all crazy stalker on them; I will find and watch every single YouTube video of them; follow them on every social network, research their entire life story/background and blog about them... Basically I will fangirl over them until I find a new crush to take over and ruin my life but my crushes last a while, so you can imagine how much stuff I know about them.

Any way these are my celebrity crushes in no particular order:

1.    Tom Hiddleston (My current obsession)

2.    Justin Bieber (Probably my longest crush)

3.    Zac Efron (The first crush on my bedroom wall)
4.    Robert Pattinson (My first man crush)

5.    Logan Lerman (I just find him insanely adorable)

source
I’d just like to clear this up: I don’t only like them for their looks; they have amazing personalities and are generally good people who happen to look like God’s finest work, in my opinion.

Are  you like me and have many crushes? Or do you just like one person? Leave a comment below!
